However different Easter may seem this year; however differently we have to do things; one thing that will remain constant and unchanging is the hope of eternal life we have in Jesus through His death on the cross and His resurrection on the third day. This hope we have in Him is not the world’s ‘possibly’ or ‘maybe’ sort of hope but the sure and certain hope found only in Him. In Hebrews 6.19 , the Apostle Paul talks of this hope “as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure”. We certainly need that anchor just now holding us steady in the midst of the Coronavirus storm raging all around us.
As we pray for the many people suffering grief and hardship just now; and for protection and strength for over-burdened NHS workers, giving thanks for their dedication, commitment and compassion; let us also pray that many people throughout the world will turn to God in the midst of these troubles and find in Him that sure and certain hope.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15.13
God bless and keep you safe
