Thought for the day

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of His hands;
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
 their words to the end of the world.

Ps 19.1-4

Each day as we wake up to the uncertainties surrounding us at present, wondering what the latest news reports will bring, what the day will hold for many undergoing great hardships, how people will cope with the many challenges facing them, one thing we can be certain of is His presence surrounding us, of His glory and power revealed in nature itself. What a powerful, though silent message the heavens proclaim.  Surrounding us, wherever in the world we are, is a continual display of God’s presence.

So often it is only when we find ourselves overwhelmed by situations; when  we have reached the limit of our own resources that we turn to our Father God, the one who will never leave us or forsake us; the one who is always in control; the one who is immoveable and never changing. Only in His strength can we overcome the challenges that face us.  He is the one who gives us His peace; His hope; His joy; His wisdom and His strengthto carry us through all adversities.  Let us continue to pray that many throughout the world will realise their need of Him and that this pandemic will be the start of many turning to Him.

How blessed we are that our Father God knows each one of us, He loves each one of us with an everlasting love; He has a plan, a purpose for each one of us; He knows our fears, our anxieties and gently invites us to ‘cast our cares’ on Him because He cares for us. By turning to Him in prayer, by seeking His help, strength and guidance; there is no situation we cannot get through together.

God bless
