Thought for the day

The name Grace is being used again and I am glad. It’s a lovely name.
Grace is part of the character of our God. Ephesians 1 6 tells us

His glorious grace which He has freely given us in Christ

And again in Ephesians 2  v7

In order that in the coming age He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in  Christ Jesus.

John 1  tells us that when Jesus came he was full of grace and truth.

We have just celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus and through it we are saved by grace. We do not deserve it and we cannot earn it.
Although grace isn’t one of the fruit  of the Spirit, it’s a characteristic we need to develop.

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer  everyone.
Col.4 .

f only my conversations were always full of grace!

Hebrews 4 v 16 is a helpful verse for these times , or any difficult times.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

The very last verse of the bible says ,

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.
