“By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding He set the heavens in place.”
As we pray for wisdom at this crucial time of decision making for our leaders as they seek to devise the right road map back to ‘normality’, we pray that their hearts will be filled not with earthly wisdom full of ‘selfish ambition’ but with heavenly wisdom
“that is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” Jas 3.17
After all the grief, suffering and heartache of many over recent weeks may the hearts of all leaders in every sphere, across all nations be filled with the desire and wisdom to bring people together, to overcome conflict, and to “hear that still small voice of calm”
Whether this is a time when God does new things in our lives, guides us in different ways or whether our lives remain much the same as before, let us pray it will be a time when we will discover opportunities to become, in the words of an old hymn, ‘channels of His peace’. As we seek to shine His light into the lives of all those we meet let us pray that we will be filled with His wisdom and will know when to speak or act; and will choose only words that lift and encourage so that many others may come to know Him.
“Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her Those who hold her fast will be blessed.” Prov 3.13,17-18
With love and blessings all,
