Thought for the day

There are three kinds of peace  in the Bible. Peace and quiet, Peace with God and the Peace of God. Some of us have more peace and quiet than we want just now, and others have none at all, because of working from home and home schooling children.
We all  appreciate some peace and quiet in our lives.

As proverbs says-

“Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting with strife”
Prov.17. 1.

Peace with God is open to everyone. It is the peace that comes with knowing that our sins, mistakes and failures are all forgiven because we know Jesus  as our Saviour.

“Jesus made peace through His blood on  the cross”
Col. 1. 20.

The peace of God is something we all need to cultivate in our lives.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares  for  you “
1 Peter 5. 7.

This is a time of great anxiety for some, and we all wonder what the future will be like. If we  are able to cast all our anxieties on Jesus, and I know how hard that can be, then

“The peace of God which transcends all  understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus “.
Phil. 4.  7.

May that be our experience today.
